Hello and happy end of Blogmas!
As it is the final day I decided I would share my Christmas makeup look as I’ve spoken about what that would be over so many blogmas posts. I thought it would be so much more helpful to actually show you rather than just talks about it in little bits.
To start my makeup I applied my Hourglass Vanish Foundation stick in the shade Ivory. This is a full coverage foundation which is a well-loved favorite of mine. I apply it in lines on my face and use a dense foundation brush to buff it in. It is truly an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G foundation! It feels so light and comfortable on my face while giving my dry skin so much coverage and a natural glow. It’s the most effortless and flattering full coverage foundation I’ve ever tried with my V dried skin. Next, I applied my Tarte Shape Tape concealer in light under my eyes, around my nose, on my forehead and chin. This is also a full coverage concealer and works SO well to brighten and hide anything I’m looking to cover. Next, I set my face with my Kat Von D Lock It Powder Foundation in the shade light 49. While I tend to switch between a loose translucent powder and this one I chose this one as it does a really nice job of setting my under eyes and doesn't make my makeup look cakey (which is pretty impressive as I use two V full coverage products already) while adding a lil' more coverage (as I always believe that around the holidays you can't have too much).
For the rest of my face, I used the blush and bronzer from my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit - Volume 3. I started this by applying the Luminous Bronze Light Shade on the edges of my forehead, cheeks, and anywhere my face needs to be a little bit more bronzey (do you guys feel like bronzer just does SO much during the winter? It’s such an essential for me). Next, I went in with the blush in surreal halo right on the ol’ apples of my cheek and it left such a glowy pink plum flush! For highlight, I went with something that was V dramatic! I think that the holidays are really the time to wear a dramatic highlight so I used my Wet N Wild cream highlight in the shade When the nude strikes as it’s the perfect icy pink for winter. I only wear a highlight shade like this in winter as it’s so icy I feel like it only works with my pale skin. I then set that with a mixture of two highlights from the Anastasia Beverly Hills X Nicole Guerriero highlight palette (forever lit- a V icy white and forever young- a champagne).
For eyes, I primed with my favorite Wet N Wild eyeshadow primer (this is something I recommend all the time as it makes my eyeshadow last all day and makes eyeshadow pop!). I then used my fave Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette starting with the shades semi-sweet (a cooler brown) and milk chocolate ( a warm brown) mixed in my crease and outer corner. I then began to apply the shade triple fudge (a true dark brown) to the outer corner of my eye. I built this up slowly and made sure I blended my crease out well. Then I went back in with my eye primer and applied sit right in the center of my eye. I used the shade adorn (a bronze gold) from my ABH Subculture palette and patted in with my finger on to my eye. You could use any gold shade you wanted this just happens to be a favorite of mine! Then I applied my trusty Lash Paradise mascara and a little bit of the shades semi-sweet and triple fudge on my lower lashline and voila! There are Eyes done!
For eyebrows, I filled them in with my Nyx micro brow pencil in the shade brunette. My eyebrows have become (very) overgrown so I am working on making hem look natural by just reinforcing their shape and using the fine tip of this pencil to add hair like lines. I then lock this in place with my Maybelline Brow Drama ( a brow mascara) in the shade deep brown.
Lastly is the perfect Christmas lip! I had to go with my classic Mac Ruby Woo and Rimmel Red Diva lip liner combo as it is a true favorite (not to mention that I’ve worn it almost every day of this holiday season). I love the ultra matte formula for a day like Christmas as it stays on through eating drinking and you can worry about the Christmas day rather than reapplying your lipstick.
