Goodbye 2019 and hello 2020!
After a *very* busy 2019, I was more than happy to welcome 2020 as the fresh slated I needed. In fact, as I started the new year covered in confetti and balloons surrounded by some of my closest friends, I got the feeling of how special this year could really be. While I’m often a bit more cynical, and unreliable with my resolutions, I decided that I would create my resolution list in the spirit of the new year (and actually keep them this year).
Write, write & write
As you can see from the large gap between my last post and this one, I have been far from consistent on my blog. In actuality, I have written so many posts but have been too picky about actually posting one. This year I want to write more confidently and post more consistently. I just need to let go and actually post!
Travel
Eeek! This one is probably the most exciting as I am actually leaving on the biggest new adventure in just a few days time. As a major introvert, and homebody, this is a nerve wracking resolution as I will be completely out of my comfort zone. I am so nervous but also I know that this will be a great thing for me to do. I’ll keep you posted in my upcoming blog posts on how the adventure goes.
Eat great food & learn how to cook
One of my developing passions this year has been food. I want to continue to try new food, drink and attend new places to find my new must eat bites. Additionally, it’s time for me to really learn how to cook. I have basically lived off of eggs, free pizza and oatmeal throughout my college career and this year is the time to fix that.
Find new wardrobe and beauty staples
Within the last few years I have become much more succinct in my own personal style, and have found staples that I wear week after week. In the new year, I want to search for staple pieces in my wardrobe and beauty routine that I will never want to put down. While this will help me create a more cohesive style, it will help me waste less ( another goal I am setting for myself).
What are your new year goals?
